decades inn, the concept of innovation continues to drive the passion and commitment to delivering world class performance apparel at Babici.
In 2021, Babici was commissioned by Bobsleigh Australia to design and manufacture Bobsleigh & Skeleton race suits for the world championships. Not only did the Australian's deliver their best ever results, their lead up to the Beijing Winter Olympics put them in good stead to deliver Australia's highest achievement in any winter Olympic games.
The product development spanned across a year of product design and testing with the final product ready to take on the world. The combination of four-way stretch textiles from Europe's most advance textile mills, couples with athlete input and feedback ensured the suits were crafted top deliver optimum performance.
Every aspect of the athlete's needs were taken into consideration when the draft designs were commenced. Only through sampling and design rigour did the suits eventuate into the results achieved by the Australian team.
Although challenging, the project delivered to everyone's expectations and highlighted the need for the highest level of product innovation and design.
